Saturn is the planet I’m asked about most often. Maybe it’s his reputation as the bringer of tough lessons, cosmic disciplinarian and the one who tests our limits until we grow. At best, his presence is considered a buzzkill; at worst, an omen for our next dark night of the soul. It makes sense we all try to stay a few steps ahead of him.

But like many complex figure, he’s easily misunderstood and Saturn’s medicine is deeper than his mythology suggests.

Yes, he restricts. He tests. He strips away illusions. But his ultimate aim is always in service of our highest evolution. Saturn challenges us not to punish, but to prompt empowerment. When we meet his lessons with courage and responsibility, we are initiated into deeper self-trust, clearer truth, and more embodied purpose. Resist them - and we remain stuck in victimhood, swimming against the tides of our own becoming.

Aries: The Sign of Becoming

On May 24, 2025, Saturn enters Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac. This marks the beginning of a new cosmic chapter - individually and collectively. Aries represents the fire of emergence, the divine spark of individuality that lives inside each of us - it carries the mantra “I Am”. And Saturn, planet of form and structure, is arriving to shape this spark into something tangible.

Up until this point, Saturn has been in Pisces - the last sign of the Zodiac - since March 2023. Saturn rules boundaries; Pisces dissolves them. The last two years have been a dissolving of form and an undoing of structures we once looked to for authority. This has been a collective dismantling, a loosening of definitions and limitations - all in the name of healing. It’s why things like astrology, plant medicine and the quantum field have become almost mainstream. And although this unravelling will continue (we’re just getting started) Saturn’s entrance into Aries is our first undeniable push forward - out of the liminal and into the becoming. It’s all happening, all at once.
